Commemorating the Life of Your Pet

It is becoming increasingly common for pet owners to create memorials of some sort for their deceased pets. Some people choose to plant a tree in their yard to symbolize the love for their pet and the joy that it brought to their lives. Alternatively, some people are becoming familiar with creating online memorials to their pets that they and (if they choose) friends and family can visit whenever they are surfing the Internet. Other choices include the traditional idea of having a plaque mounted in their home or in their garden. For the artistically inclined, it may be a good idea to paint or sketch a likeness of the deceased pet.

If you have good needlework skills you may wish to create a needlepoint designed to resemble your beloved pet. However, some people simply wish to acknowledge their pet's death by visiting its burial site and remembering the good times that were shared.
